Click start then Control panel (classic view) and then double click the "performance information and tools"

Note: you can through other way as windows vista has many shortcuts.

Click on the "Advanced tools"

 Click on the "Adjust the appearance and performance of windows"

 You might have to provide an administration password or confirm by clicking continue to continue.
Select the "let windows choose what's best for my computer" then click Ok and Apply.

You can as well choose something else as in setting if you know what you are doing.
