Set Start Menu Power Button To Shut Down On Vista

5/11/2008 | putersandnet.com

As windows vista start menu power button is set to sleep by default....

I've clicked on the power button several times when i was new to Windows vista and thought it will shut down my pc, It took me a while to realize what was going on.....This has happened to many people.

Follow this steps to set the start menu power button to shut down your computer instead of sleep.

Go to "power options" from control panel or through any easy way for you to access the "power Options"

On the power plan options click the Change plane setting under the selected plan. (see image below)

Then click the Change advanced power settings
