This tip is also a way of learning how to create shortcuts. Not only for logoff shortcut. It will be easier if you know the path of the program you are creating shortcut of.

Creating a shortcut to logoff on your desktop is another fast way to logoff on your windows account.

For example: If you were in a middle of doing something personal or private and someone just stepped in unexpectedly, Or you were in a hurry and needed to logoff fast. The logoff shortcut could be useful to you at this kind of situation, But it might not be the fastest way to logoff though!

Note that you can as well press the windows logo key + D to minimize all open windows or press the windows logo key + L to lock the screen or press CTRL + ALT + DEL and chose what you want to do from the options.

Now lets follow this simple steps to create a logoff shortcut on the desktop. Let's assume that your windows local disk drive is (C:).

First method: Go to Computer>>>Local Disk (C:)>>>windows>>>System32 or just use this link "C:\Windows\System32" and then look for a .exe file named "logoff". Right click on it and select "Create Shortcut"

right click logoff

You will now see the following message
