I decided to write about this after someone sent me a message asking how i captured those screen shots in my articles.
There is an easy way to capture a screen shot without installing additional software of program.
And there are also lots of software programs out there that can be used for this.
The Easy Way:
From your keyboard, Simple press SHIFT + PRINT SCREEN (prt sc or print scrn) depends on keyboard Or FN + SHIFT + PRT SC to capture the entire screen. Press ALT + PRINT SCRN OR FN + ALT + PRINT SCRN to capture only the on top screen.
Now open PAINT and press the CTRL + V on your keyboard to paste the image you have just captured or right click inside the paint and select Paste or from PAINT click Edit then Paste. As simple as that you have the screen shot, Edit from paint and save it as JPEG, GIF etc;
Do More Way:
Hint: Remember also there's a build in tool on Windows Vista Called Snipping Tool
Click here to learn how to use the Snipping Tool from Microsoft Page.
Here comes the one i use for most of the screen shots here, It is called Snagit from TechSmith you've probably heard about it, It's not free!. You can try the trial version. You can do lot more with Snagit. (see below for free one)
Another new and good and free and easy one is called JING, A project from TechSmith.
Another one is called Fast Stone Capture. As for now i've not yet tried Fast Stone, I heard about it from a friend. You can check it out! Faststone.org
That's all for now.....Come back soon!!
