Mistakenly closing a program happens almost every day and might never be recovered or when it's recovered you'll end up starting the work you were doing afresh.
You can use GoneIn60s to recover a program that has been closed within 60seconds.
It will keep a closed program for 60sec by default, however you can adjust the setting to keep it for up to 100seconds.
It could be useful even for intentionally closed programs.
For Example: If you were in a middle of something private and someone just come in unexpectedly, You can close it and reopen it with GoneIn60s.
But you might wanna check if it work with the program first, I've tested it with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Quick Time Player, Windows Media Player, Yahoo Messenger, Ares Galaxy and it works....But it wont save some programs.
You only have to save the file on your computer, when you double click the .exe file it will start running and you'll see the it's icon near the clock at the taskbar, Right click it for settings or to reopen a recently closed program.
By the way GoneIn60s is free!
